Making Kite

On a beautiful Thursday morning, the wind was blowing on a bright sunny day, straight after morning tea, room 8 and room 6 successfully made fabulous colourful kites by using strings, tape, decorations, coloured paper and scissors. When room 8 found out that we were going to make kites in room 6, we were all excited and joyful, but suddenly, Mrs Sharma told us that we have to work in buddies because there were not enough materials to make kites for each and one of us, so I choose Cheldyn as my buddy.

First, I and Cheldyn cut the papers into a diamond shape and then attach the sticks with the tape into the back of kites. After putting the tape at the back of the kite, me and Cheldyn design it with any soft decoration so the kite will fly properly without heavy stuff at the back of it.

After decorating the kites, Cheldyn and I started to make our string by rolling it into the scrunched paper.

Finally, we’re done so we went outside and fly kites on the field. We are so happy because it was successfully done even though there is not enough wind to fly the kite up high but we still had fun.
