Families were grieving because of a loved one lost,  sounds of sorrow and anguish because they couldn’t find any cure.
Besides the nine million that got killed in the war,  the terrible flu that raged across the world killed about 21 million innocent people.

Although,  health department to help people by giving them a small bottle of stout,  whiskey and brandy to ease the pain but did not cure the terrible flu.  The health department also gave them a special chamber that can only do 30 people at a time,  so people lined up to get sprayed with the zinc sulphate to kill the bugs but it also did not work.  Other sprays were also tried such us spraying mail with formalin to stop letter readers by getting flu.

Towns became a ghost town.  Trams stopped running and many places were closed such as churches,  cinemas, schools and shops.  Children also looked after sick relatives.
