my reflection

My Reflection
I think this term is the best and most entertaining term, this year, because we had an amazing event to celebrate Tongan language week, and we also had a very nice sponsors and teacher that gave us new awesome, detailed bikes and free sausages for our school.

I also gained understanding in my work such as, understanding recount,  find percentage, solving a problem and also do critical questions. I also think this term is the best term because, we reached 103 blogs which is why I should work more and try my best to do more blogs.

From this term my two favorite subjects are math and writing because they are one of the hardest subjects so I need to learn how to do them and for writing they teach me how to speak english gives me more interesting vocabulary.

My goals:
Understanding more about math language that will help me justify my work.
Learning to find interesting vocabulary that will make my writing powerful and makes sense.

Pixel raiders, speed zone

On the 20th of September 2019, I red a book called the Pixel Raiders speed zone (car race), this book is illustrated by Chris Kennet and authored by Bajo And Hex. When I first red this book it was filled with alot of interesting words and describing words. It was also very sad because in the start they got stuck in a virtuality game and they had to finish the game, if they didn't win every game they will be stuck in there forever.

Tongan Language week

                                        Tongan Language Week
Last friday, (5th of September 2019) Tamaki Primary School , had a huge, crowded, assembly to celebrate Tongan language week. While they were setting up the hall, first we had to wear our costumes (Tupenu) And wait until we line up. After a few minutes, we left (go at 11:00 and 11:30 start) our class lined up, and walk outside to the court and get to our lines.
In a few performances, it was finally our turn to perform. I got so nervous because there were alot of students and whanau that came to watch our performance, (Ma'ulu'ulu). After Our dance, we finally went back to class and waited until we get called to the hall for the tongan foods. In a few minutes we got called to the hall. I was so excited and very thankful, because they cooked delicious tongan food  for the whole whole school.

I think last friday was awesome and very exciting because we get to eat tongan foods, and do a great, and surprising performance .

Filipe is a Tongan artist born in Ngele‘ia, Nuku‘alofa, August 23 1959.  He is an artist who had lived in New Zealand  since 1978.  And did you know the people from the art and Asia pacific they  describe Filipe as him as Tongan arts formost ambassador.

Filipe Tohi is a wonderful man that has travelled around the world such as the pacific island Tonga, Samoa and New Zealand. The main reason why Filipe Tohi traveled in the islands is to Inspire young people and also gets great ideas and new patterns.
During FIlipe’s travels to the pacific islands, Filipe gets ideas and then put them into art. And did you in each art they are hidden patterns such fish and birds and other animals.
